Ruhlman and the Farmgirl

I’m a fan of Michael Ruhlman. His writing is clear and his subject matter never fails to interest me. I first discovered him on the “Cleveland” Episode of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain. It was the same episode where Bourdain ate at Lola with Marky Ramone, chatted about life with Harvey Pekar and made cassoulet with Michael Ruhlman. That was about four years ago and I’ve been keeping up with Ruhlman ever since.

This week (near the same time that takepart.com came out with the list of best and worst states for eating locally) Ruhlman’s Blog ran fantastic article about small farmers and how we can help them stay around for the next generation. It was a thought provoking piece and it’s certainly worth a read.
